Edit the text inside your PDF

Click any sentence in your PDF, retype it, delete it or move it — then download the edited file.

The server library is missing, so downloading will not work yet. Run composer require setasign/fpdf:^1.8 setasign/fpdi:^2.6 in your public_html folder.
No selectable text was found on this page — it is most likely a scanned image. You can still add new text on top of it, but existing text needs OCR first.
You typed characters outside the Latin alphabet. This server is not set up with a Unicode font, so those characters will be simplified in the exported PDF. See the setup note at the top of this file.
Some rotated or vertical text on this page was skipped — only horizontal text can be edited.

Questions people ask

Can it really edit text that is already in the PDF?

Yes, as long as the PDF contains real text. Each line is detected with its exact position, size and colour, and only the lines you change are repainted when you download. Everything else is copied through untouched.

Why can't I edit my scanned document?

A scanned page is a photograph — there are no text objects inside it to edit. You would need OCR first to convert the picture into text. You can still place new text boxes on top of it here.

Will the edited line look exactly like the original?

Very close, but not identical. The original embedded font is usually subsetted and cannot be reused, so the replacement is drawn with the closest standard font at the same size, weight and colour, on the same baseline.

Is my file safe?

Your PDF is kept in a private folder on the server only while you are editing, and it is deleted automatically a few hours later. Nothing is shared with third parties.
